Independent Cinema and Video is a class of committed, hard-working, students (many females with names that start with “A”) and faculty members Elizabeth Coffman and Tom Weinberg. Tom has been a video guerilla for many years, founder of TVTV, member of Ant Farm, producer of more than 500 independent programs, including the 90s, Image Union and many more, available on Mediaburn.org. Elizabeth picked up a camera in grad school and started FemTV. She went on to produce feature-length and short docs while doing the college professor thing… She writes the column “Long Distance Mom” for the blog Mama, Phd on InsideHighered.com
